How about this, these trees represent the four seasons, they each have the exact same number of stitches but I used different kinds of thread and different sizes. The light green (Spring) is done in size 50 Altin Baskak thread. The dark green (Summer) is done in size 20 HH Lizbeth tread. The varigated (Autumn) is done in size 40 HH Lizbeth thread and the white (Winter) is done in size 30 Aunt Lydia's thread. Interesting don'g you think?
lovely trees!!!
ReplyDeletethank you so much.
DeleteThese are great Donata. What a great way to use/practice onion rings. I wonder how difficult it would be to add beads to these...white for the winter ones (like ice crystals) and red for the summer one for fruit....and even multi-coloured to turn these into 'Christmas trees' for decorations or cards. Wonderful work.
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike Fiona, I left off the chains around the outside and added beads just on the ends. I will scan them soon and post them.
ReplyDeleteYour trees are great! I love the idea. This would be cute framed.
ReplyDeleteI have framed them in a really cool frame it is kind of like a free standing shadow box I must try to take a picture of it and post it.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like them, thanks for commenting
